The candidates will learn how to teach standardized Arabic (Fus-ha) for non-native students using the communicative approach. This approach aims increase student centeredness and puts lots of emphasis on speaking and employing the language in communication. It steers teachers away from traditional methods like teacher centeredness and heavy focus on grammar tasks. The candidates will learn different frameworks to teach all 4 skills (reading, listening, writing and speaking) and language systems (grammar, vocabulary and functions).
The course is part-time offline. It runs for almost 2 months 3 days a week. There are 3 main components on the course: Input sessions, teaching practice and written assignments.
No, there isn’t. There are 2 main areas of assessment in the course:
- Teaching practice
You will have to teach 8 assessed lessons 45 minutes each. Those lessons will be observed by the course tutors and you will be given a grad for each lesson.
- Written assignments:
You will submit 3 assignments that focus on a variety of theoretical aspects of teaching. You will also receive a grad on each.
No. All candidates need to be fluent Arabic speakers who can speak good clear standard Arabic

Yes. You will receive 2 certificates. One from International House World Organization which is one of the biggest language institutes in the world making the certificate recognized on a global scale. The second certificate is issued by Alibaba Center-International House Amman that is accredited form the Jordan's Ministry of Education
The course does not follow a score system. Instead, it follows a pass or fail system. Candidates need to pass 6/8 teaching practices and all written assignments to be granted a pass
